Review: iCarbons Brushed Aluminium Skin for Beats by Dre Studios

10 Mar

Hello there!

With any gadget protection is essential, I alway find that with headphones the main issue is scratches: Time after time I always find minor scratches on my headphones of which I cannot explain, for this reason I decided to get into contact with iCarbons and order a skin for my Beats by Dre Studio’s to prevent these minor scratches occurring. Today I am bringing you my review of the ‘Brushed Aluminium’ skin for Beats by Dre Studio’s.

Appearance / Installation

There’s no doubt about it, the Brushed Aluminium skin totally transforms your Studio’s into a new pair of headphones, with the feeling of security that they are protected from any scratches that they are likely to encounter on a day-to-day basis. When shipped the Brushed Aluminium skin comes in 7 separate pieces. iCarbons classify this installation as a ’2 star difficulty’, however I found it fairly easy to install and I’m sure you will too! The skins are printed on a 3M vinyl sheet, so when your ready to install them to your headphones: you just peel them off the sheet and stick them into place! The skins are equipped with precision cutouts for screws and buttons, meaning that if you want to take apart your headphones, you don’t have to remove the skin first.

The Good

The Brushed Aluminium skin for Beats Studio’s has many great features of which I will list below:

  • Easy installation
  • Great quality and looks awesome
  • Protects your headphones from light scratches
  • Brings a new, fresh look to your Studio headphones

The Bad

There’s only one bad feature of which I have encountered whist using the Aluminium skin and that is…

  • People without a steady hand may find the installation fairly difficult

Rating

10/10, I really like this skin, it provides great scratch protection to your headphones and brings a new look to your headphones. If you wore these out in public I am certain a few heads would turn due to the sheer uniqueness they bring to your device! This skin retails at $19.95 from iCarbons themselves and is a great purchase!
